FoodTech Connect 2010

6 - 7 October 2010
Etihad Stadium  |  Melbourne

FoodTech Connect is the annual conference that provides content specifically targeted at engineering, processing and management professionals from the food manufacturing and technology industry. Running alongside the conference is a small exhibition that gives you the opportunity to meet with world-class companies operating within the food sector. These companies will be demonstrating some of the very latest technologies, services and products that are on offer to you and your organisation today.

Industry support

Last year saw the launch of FoodTech Connect and in its very first year, industry heavyweights Australian Food & Grocery Council, Australian Institute of Packaging and Australian Institute of Food Technology leant their support to this event - a clear demonstration that what this event had to offer was well received by the industry it was launched to serve.

Last year saw the theme 'Planning for Growth', while this year's theme of 'Business Growth through Sustainability' continues to focus on growth of business, but not at the expense of the environment and the planet we live on.

The seminars

The seminar sessions take various formats and include keynotes, case studies, plenary sessions and breakout sessions covering areas including:

  • Food safety and product recalls
  • Labels and the law
  • Sustainability
  • Consumer trends
  • Water re-use and recycling benchmarks
  • Re-tooling for climate change
  • Supply chain and cold chain developments
  • OHS and risk assessments
  • Innovation in R&D and marketing
  • Future trends in health and nutrition
  • Packaging

The exhibition

The exhibition is as an important aspect of FoodTech Connect. It is designed to allow delegates continued access to the floor throughout the two days, including during session times and each conference session break, giving delegates the opportunity to discuss the challenges faced on a daily basis. This October sees a very similar design, but in addition, there will be hands-on demonstrations by suppliers.

The venue

The venue for this year's conference is Etihad Stadium in the Docklands area of Melbourne. Conference delegates will be catered for in fine style, with plenty of time for networking with industry peers. The venue is centrally located and easy to get to.

Why not join us in 2010 and find out what all the fuss is about!
